We work with Reewild to carefully select projects that will have a significant positive climate impact. Together we've built an investment programme with a dual benefit: not only will it support global decarbonisation and nature restoration efforts, but it will also improve the livelihood of local communities to ensure project longevity.

Here’s a closer look at one of the climate projects we’re proud to support:

Loch Ness Reforestation Project

We believe that as a UK-based company, we also need to remove carbon and restore biodiversity at a local level. As the UK carbon market is relatively new, we are investing in the future, by funding tree planting now that will lead to large levels of natural carbon sequestration over the next few decades. To that end, we are funding reforestation on the edges of Loch Ness in Scotland, which is guaranteed to remove 5 tonnes of the carbon from the atmosphere.

Project Insights

The site is a two-phase restoration project adjacent to the Loch's mature coastal forest, which has been verified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The permanent, diverse woodland scheme is comprised of 100,000 native trees: Caledonian Scots pine, sessile
oak, hazel, downy birch, rowan, eared willow, and quaking aspen. The landscape also plays host to many rare native species, including Scottish wildcats, golden eagles, otters, and water voles.
